Alberton Hardware (Pty) Ltd. was founded on the 22nd October 1975. The original shop was located in Gerrit Maritz Street, Alberton North for the first 5 years. In 1980 the store was moved across the street to the corner of Gerrit Maritz and Van Riebeeck Avenue, Alberton North.

Alberton Hardware (Pty) Ltd. is a family business run by brothers Patrick and Garth with Jenny taking care of the financial department.
